NETS Victoria receives Arts Victoria funding for "Made to Last?"

NETS Victoria has received Arts Victoria funding for the tour of a new exhibition curated by Sherryn Vardy.

Made to Last? The Conservation of Art aims to increase the audience’s understanding and appreciation for the need for gallery collections to be conserved and considers the challenges for conservators and collections in working with contemporary artists.

The project was announced as a recipient of funding from Touring Victoria, which will enable a regional Victorian tour in 2012-13. It will visit galleries in Ballarat, Morwell, Mildura, Wangaratta and Warrnambool.

Sherryn Vardy, who works as Program Manager at NETS Victoria, is currently completing a Master of Cultural Material Conservation at CCMC, The University of Melbourne.

More details, including artists involved in the exhibition, will be released soon.
